Dr. Ren Xiaoyan , Chief Physician, Distinguished Professor,

Inventor of modern acupuncture catgut embedding instruments, techniques and therapies.

Dr. Ren Xiaoyan is the president of the International Acupuncture Cosmetology Association and the founder of the International Modern Acupuncture Catgut Embedding Society. She currently serves as the president of the Catgut Embedding Research Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies and is the first drafter of the international standard for the technical operation specifications of acupuncture catgut embedding. She is also the person who proposed the project for disposable sterile catgut embedding needles at the annual meeting of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)/TC249.

It took her over 20 years to complete the development process from the traditional acupoint catgut embedding therapy to the modern acupoint catgut embedding therapy, then to the modern acupuncture catgut embedding therapy, and finally to the Ren’s Acupuncture Catgut Embedding Therapy.

For more than 20 years, the theoretical research and clinical practice of Ren’s Acupuncture Catgut Embedding Technique and Therapy have been popularized and promoted across the country and around the world. Based on integrating modern acupuncture acupoint catgut embedding techniques and therapies with classical Chinese medicine and modern medicine, integrative medicine and translational medicine, as well as fashionable Chinese medicine and artistic medicine, she has achieved satisfactory results in applying them to people’s prevention, health care, beautification, anti-aging, common diseases and difficult and complicated diseases.

After 27 years of unremitting research and exploration, the Ren’s Acupuncture Catgut Embedding Needles founded by Professor Ren Xiaoyan stand out in the field of traditional Chinese.
