Dr Wang is the director of the Department of Neurology, Chief Physician, Doctor of Medicine. Studied under the renowned neurologist Professor Pu Chuanqiang, he has rich clinical experience in treating nervous system diseases. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases, Parkinson's disease, demyelinating diseases, infectious diseases of the central nervous system, epilepsy, peripheral neuropathies, and myopathies, and has particular expertise in interventional treatment of cerebrovascular diseases. Since 2003, he has completed more than 3,000 neurological interventional surgeries. He has been tracking the research progress of neural stem cells for more than 10 years and has used hematopoietic stem cells to treat more than 20 cases of nervous system degenerative diseases and nerve injuries.
Currently, he serves as a director of the Beijing Society of Neurology, a standing member of the Cerebrovascular Disease Branch of the Beijing Society of Neurology, a member of the Neurological Intervention Group for Ischemic Cerebrovascular Diseases of the Physicians Association, an expert member of the Beijing Stroke Diagnosis and Treatment Quality Control Center, a standing member of the Vertigo Professional Committee of the China Association of Medicine and Education, a member of the Expert Group for Technical Appraisal of Medical Malpractice of the Beijing Medical Association, a member of the Expert Group for Technical Appraisal of Medical Malpractice of the Haidian District Medical Association in Beijing, a member of the Neurology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and a special editor of Chinese Journal of Clinical Doctors (Electronic Edition), etc. He once served as an executive member of the China Association for Rehabilitation of the Disabled. He has presided over five provincial and ministerial-level research projects. He is the deputy editor-in-chief of two works and has participated in the compilation of three works. He has published more than 40 papers in domestic and foreign medical journals.
