Background

Ms. Jia reported that around July 2013, without any obvious cause, she began to experience pain in both knees accompanied by limited mobility. In September 2013, she went to a local hospital for a consultation. The imaging report showed that she had knee arthritis in both knees. At that time, she was treated with a combination of acupuncture and oral medications. The treatment lasted for more than two years, but the results were not good. In November 2015, the symptoms suddenly worsened, and she had difficulty walking. After consulting with many places, she came to our hospital for treatment in Dec 2015.

Pre-Treatment Condition (Before the First Course of Treatment)

•   Appearance and Symptom Variation:  There was no swelling, redness, or fever in the affected area. However, the symptoms got worse on rainy and cloudy days.

•   Treatment Attempts and Outcomes: She self-medicated by taking painkillers and applied plasters externally for treatment.

First Course of  Stem Cell Treatment  (Dec 2015)

Treatment Methods:
 Intra-articular Treatment

Outcomes After the First Course of Treatment

•   Symptom Alleviation: The patient reported a significant alleviation of symptoms after the treatment.

•    Near - complete Recovery:  After a full course of treatment, Ms. Jia's symptoms basically disappeared.

Progress Summary & Future Outlook

Looking ahead, the remarkable recovery Ms. Jia has achieved after the stem cell treatment is a cause for great optimism. In the coming months, with strict adherence to the doctor's advice on work-rest balance and precautions, her knee condition is likely to remain stable. Her successful treatment can also serve as an inspiration for other knee-arthritis patients, offering them hope for a pain-free and active life.
