Background

On May 9, 2017, Alena was involved in a severe car accident that resulted in a complete spinal cord injury at T5-T7, along with a cerebral concussion, multiple        fractures of the left ribs (3rd-5th and 7th-11th ribs), and a left lung contusion. The severity of the spinal cord injury caused her to lose motor and sensory control        over most of her body. As a passionate dancer, she felt as though her life had plunged into darkness.

Facing an uncertain future, Alena and her family began searching for the most advanced treatment options. After extensive research and comparison, she ultimately        chose Sunrise & Moonlight Medical, not only for its internationally leading stem cell therapy technology but also for the compassionate care integrated into every        patient's rehabilitation journey. She believed that in an environment where expertise and warmth coexisted, she could not only achieve physical improvement but also        regain the courage and hope to face life again.

Pre-Treatment Condition (Before the First Course of Treatment)
Complete Injury at T5-T7:
No sensation below the sternum.
Upper Limb Paralysis:
Unable to lift her left upper limb.
Core Muscle Weakness:
Due to a lack of strength in the lumbar region, she was unable to sit independently.
Inability to Perform Basic Movements:
Unable to transition from a sitting to a lying position or move her body independently.
Complete Loss of Sensation:
No perception of her legs or waist before treatment.

Outcomes After the First Course of Treatment
Improved Sensation:
Sensory level of injury moved 6 cm lower.
Upper Limb Strength:
Significant improvement; able to lift her upper limbs higher and with greater ease.
Core Strength:
Increased lumbar strength, enabling her to sit independently.
Improved Mobility:
Alena was able to transition from sitting to lying down on her own.
Sensory Perception:
She began to feel the presence of her legs and waist.
Muscle Response:
External stimulation induced contraction in her thigh muscles, an early sign of motor recovery.
Neurosensory Changes:
Alena experienced increased sensation, including numbness and hypersensitivity extending from her legs to the soles of her feet.

Progress Summary & Future Outlook
Alena's journey demonstrates the remarkable progress that stem cell therapy has enabled in both motor function and sensory recovery. From being unable to move or            perceive her lower body to regaining partial sensation and mobility, the treatment not only improved her physical capabilities but also boosted her confidence and            independence. Moving forward, Alena will continue to benefit from ongoing rehabilitation and follow-up treatments to further enhance her recovery.
